About Us
Helping Alaska is proud to serve our neighbors of the Tanana Valley by building relationships, providing help and meeting needs. Our doors are open for the community to come as they are, enjoy a meal and share their needs.
Why?
Our purpose: We are a faith-based organization, responding to God’s call to serve others. [Deuteronomy 15:11, Isaiah 1:17]
Our passion: We have received freedom from our past circumstances and mistakes through God’s love and grace. Out of an abundance of God’s grace and an overflow of His love, we are able to serve our community with love and grace. [Colossians 3:12-15]
Our plan: We start each day with devotion and in prayer, putting our faith, hope and trust in God to lead us as we serve our local community.
How?
We empathize with, educate and equip others. We hope to empower our community to live in freedom from their past and rest in stability for their future.
What?
We meet the various needs of our community members while working alongside other nonprofits and churches by providing a Community Helpline, housing assistance, case management, and education.
